Osgoode Hall Law School
Description
Our full-time faculty members are internationally recognized for their excellence in teaching and research and leadership in law reform. Together with a talented group of adjunct faculty drawn from the Toronto Bar, our professors are the backbone of our outstanding academic programs, which include the Juris Doctor (JD) Program; the Graduate Program, offering Master of Laws (LLM) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees; and the Osgoode Professional Development Program, with its various Professional LLM and non-degree continuing legal education programs.
The life of the Law School, which moved back into new, state-of-the-art facilities in August of 2011, is enriched by a number of research centres and units including the Hennick Centre for Business and Law, the Nathanson Centre on Transnational Human Rights, Crime and Security, IP Osgoode, the Innocence Project, the Collaborative Urban Research Laboratory, the Institute for Feminist Legal Studies and the Law Commission of Ontario, just to scratch the surface.
Of course, students are quite simply the lifeblood behind who we are and what we do in a great law school. Our students bring intelligence, diversity, creativity and leadership to Osgoode. They leave with a drive to excel, and a commitment to improve their communities.
Assisting our students so that they can focus on their academic experiences is an unparalleled staff. From our Student Services offices to our on-site IT support and our exceptional Law Library, our staff put the students’ needs first.
